WhatsApp has been working on a Business version of the app for quite some time now. The business version aims at small and mid-size businesses and how it can effectively help to communicate with the customers. After multiple leaks, WhatsApp Business app has finally reached the testing stage.
The APK file of the WhatsApp Business App is available now, you can download it from https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/whatsapp-inc/whatsapp-business/
APK for WhatsApp Business is listed on the APK Mirror, and the users can try out the Business version of the WhatsApp app if their business has been approved for testing. Only businesses been approved via the early survey can access this new separate app for the time being.
The service is still in testing, so WhatsApp is asking for feedback from early testers regarding account setup, data migration from their existing WhatsApp app, automatic responses, and analytics.
How to Manage WhatsApp Personal & Business Accounts?
1 – One phone and one app:
Migrate your current business number to WhatsApp Business.
This option makes the most sense if:
You currently only use WhatsApp for business and do not intend to use WhatsApp or the associated phone number for personal conversations moving forward.
2 – One phone and two apps:
Register a different mobile number for WhatsApp Business. Download both WhatsApp Business and your personal WhatsApp on the same phone, but the two accounts will have different numbers. This option makes the most sense if:
You primarily use one device for business, but still want to have access to your personal WhatsApp during working hours.
3 – One phone and two apps:
Register a landline number for WhatsApp Business. Download both WhatsApp Business and your personal WhatsApp on the same phone, but the two accounts will have different numbers. This option makes the most sense if:
You have a personal phone and WhatsApp account and a landline for your business, but wish to accept messaging at that number moving forward.
4 – Two phones:
One phone for business use and one phone for personal use. This option makes the most sense if: You like to keep your personal and work phones and accounts completely separate.
Adding Business Profile
WhatsApp Business app will be having options to add business details like website, address and other information. You can include location, categories/tags, a brief description of your business, an email address, and websites (one or many).
Categories are actually quite extensive so technically you should find something to describe your business. If not, there’s the ever-present Other to pick.
Away messages are automated responses that your customers will get when they try reaching you and you’re not available. You can set them to on, off, or on a schedule.
When your customers add your phone business’ number and try to reach it, they will see a yellow briefing for end-to-end encryption (happens with regular personal chats too) as well as a pop-up and yellow briefing that they’re talking to a business account and it has/hasn’t been verified yet. If they check your profile, they’ll see all the details you’ve manually applied in your business profile: image, verification status, location, category, email address, web address, and so on.
You can’t download WhatsApp Business right now (and neither can we) but you can sign up to test it here. Once you do, and if you’re lucky enough to be accepted in the test, you should find the app on the Play Store at this address.
